| Youth Apprenticeship
Youth Apprenticeship combines work-based learning with school-based learning. Apprentices may choose to move directly from the apprenticeship into the workforce or continue their education. Either way, the benefits of apprenticeships (skill development, money, college credit and work experience), will ease the transition from high school to a high-skill, high-wage career. A youth apprenticeship program is based on an agreement between the employer, student and parent or guardian. The agreement outlines the conditions of employment and the content of the apprenticeship. Students are paid for their work and receive other job-related benefits in addition to their academic credit. Apprenticeships help businesses recruit skilled workers and help students receive relevant on the job training. For more information contact: Contact Us |
